Zeinab Turmanidze is 43 years old, lives in Meris village in Kedi municipality. He is a disabled person and did not manage to finish school, nor does he have professional or higher education. Initially, Zeinab joined the coaching project and went through the coaching program sessions, after completing the coaching program, she was invited to participate in the internship program that was announced within the project.
Zeinab referred us to the gel-lacquer specialty study program. It was her dream to become a professional manicure specialist. Since Zeinabi is a disabled person, the Institute of Democracy decided to cooperate with the Adjara Employment Agency within the framework of the project “Skills for employment and cooperation, prospects for the regions of Georgia”, and the financial support of Zeinabi’s internship in the beauty salon “MG” was carried out under the sub-program of the Employment Agency of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara (EAARA). Ensuring the promotion of employment” sub-program within the framework of the program “Professional training and promotion of employment of disabled persons”.
He completed his internship in December 2021. Zeinab started to use her newly learned profession in the village of Meris in Keda and got her first income. There was a need to open a salon, purchase tools and materials and finally realize the set goal and dream. Soon, startup grants were announced as part of the project, in which he participated, went through entrepreneurial trainings and received funding.
The City Hall of Kedi Municipality undertook the allocation of space for Zerinab, and in the village of Merisis, near the house, space was allocated and handed over to the cultural center. Now Zeinab is busy with finishing the salon space and buying inventory. Tzalia will soon open a salon in the village of Meris in Keda. With the help of the project, Zeinab, who is a disabled person, will be an economically empowered woman with a new profession.
