Guria Youth Resource Center started a new project “Skills for employment and Cooperation – Tailoring Opportunities for Regions of Georgia (SECTORs)” with Georgian Farmers’ Association, Institute of Democracy, and Association “Atinati” with finical support of European Union.
Area of implementation of the project is three regions –Guria, Adjara and Samegrelo.It aims to improve employment opportunity of vulnerable society by way of encouraging sectoral partnership, offering entrepreneurial education and introducing an innovation approaches, to contribute in economical development of the project target regions.
Within the framework of the project, the following actions will take place:
Research the need of job market, including consideration of the potential of economical sector growth;
Introduction of dual, work-based learning component (WBL);
Implementation of non-formal education programs in the priority areas identified in each region;
Promotion for local businesses strengthening, implementation of strategic grant programs for operating business;
Implementation of entrepreneurial skills learning programs for vulnerable groups. Support of their business initiative;
Summer schools will be held for students who are interested in rural economic development and sub grants program implemetation for summer school former participants;
Establishment of business cluster in each region, which will unite different sectors representative organizations;
Preparation of strategic plans for each business cluster;
Arrangement of a study/educational visit of business cluster members to Germany;
Establishment of three social enterprises (one in each region), as an integral part of the cluster chain;
