A presentation of the tourism cluster was held in “Atinati”.
Representatives of different experiences and sectors, which have a direct or indirect link with tourism, joined the cluster: small entrepreneurs, winemakers, owners of family hotels and tourist facilities, various service providers, craftsmen, cooperative representatives.
The door of the cluster is open to all interested entities.
The mission of the tourism cluster is: to develop inter-sectoral cooperation and turn Zugdidi municipality into a tourism hub of Samegrelo, an attractive place for both local and foreign visitors, which will lead to the creation of new jobs and contribute to the economic development of the region.
The presentation was attended by members of the cluster, representatives of Zugdidi Municipality City Hall, civil sector, international organizations and media. Also invited guests are Ketevan Khutsishvili, representative of the European Union delegation, Tamar Glonti and Otar Revishvili, representatives of The Institute for Change and Innovation, cultural policy expert and researcher Levan Kharatishvili.
The tourism cluster was established within the framework of the Project “Skills for employment and Cooperation – Tailoring Opportunities for Regions of Georgia (SECTORs)” is funded by European Union and implemented by The Institute for Change and Innovation in partnership with Georgian Farmers’ Association, Institute of Democracy, and Association “Atinati”
