The first meeting with local entrepreneurs and persons interested in cluster activities in Guria region was successfully held. The meeting, which was chaired by the representatives of the Institute for Changes and Innovations, was held in Chokhatauri municipality and was attended by representatives of the educational field along with the private sector. The active participants of the meeting were the representatives of the winning enterprises of the SECTORs project local business strategic development grant competition, “Kobidze” and “Mefarishvili” wineries. The purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the cluster work model and to study the interest and expectations of potential members. It is a pleasure that the great interest of the union is the great determination of the above-mentioned two companies, and the theme of the cluster in Guria will be in the direction of winemaking. The purpose of the business cluster is to create a cooperative chain, develop and promote companies and enterprises, all aimed at increasing employment opportunities.
