Today the cultural attache of the American Embassy in Georgia, Christopher Andersin, visited the students of an English Access Micro-scholarship Program (ACCESS).

The conversation lasted longer than planned in a friendly environment. The guest was impressed by the students’ knowledge of the English language and insight, and the students were surprised by the guest’s warmth, kindness, love for Georgia and excellent knowledge of the Georgian language.

The “English Access Micro-scholarship Program – Access” has been implemented for many years (since 2010) by the organization PH International (“Project Harmony in Georgia”), with the financial support of the American Embassy. The implementing partner of the program is Institute for Changes and Innovations in Ozurgeti.

The program aims to make English language learning accessible to 13- to 16-year-olds from economically and socially disadvantaged families.

Children involved in the program, together with learning English, will develop leadership qualities, have the opportunity to evaluate their skills, set goals and have the desire to show their abilities to the maximum.
